My thoughts
Once again I have read a Mike Russell book and I am left agog. The author presents us with another set of weird and wacky stories (this time there are 20 in total) and I honestly find it hard to describe my full feelings towards them without just gushing and gushing.
If you are a regular visitor to this blog then you will know already that I think Mike is a fantastic writer. This book is just another step proving that. I would love to know how this man’s mind works as the ideas he comes up with are absolutely baffling, but the stories are filled with hidden messages. These stories are not just weird for the sake of it, and I’m sure on rereading them I will pick up on messages that I did not see.
Mike has the uncanny ability to build entire worlds with very few words. This is another book to sit with and immerse yourself in. While short, it is chock full of fantastic stories. Recommended.
