The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag

I saw this one over on the Tattooed Book Geek and decided to hell with it, why not?!!!!

How long have you been blogging?

According to my very first blog post I started in March 2018, but I think I was doing prep work for it for about a month before I launched. I still had (and still have) no idea what I was doing.

At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

When it becomes more of a chore than a hobby. Although I take breaks when I need to anyway.

What is the best thing about blogging?

Right now I just enjoy having somewhere on the internet that is just mine and I can put down whatever I want to here.

What is the worst thing? what do you do to make it okay?

Eh… like Drew’s answer, the doubt that everything I do is shite and if I should bother continuing.

How long does it take you to make/find pictures to use?

I don’t even think I consider for a part of a second which picture I am going to use. Gifs on the other hand take me about 20 to 25 seconds to decide on

perfect

Who is your book crush?

I’m not even sure I know what that is. I know of a few books that could crush people if dropped from a height…. is that it?

What author would you like to have on your blog?

Dream of all dreams would be John Connolly. There are a few authors I would like to ask but I’m not confident enough.

What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

I wear what I’m wearing when I sit down and turn on my computer. I barely plan what I’m going to wear daily let alone when I find the time to blog.

How long does it take you to prepare?

That’s a toughie and it is largely dependent on why I’m reviewing the book. If it’s a #fromthebookshelf review I don’t plan too much and I just pop down notes here and there. Posts for Blog Tours take a bit longer and I make a post with just my thoughts and add to it as I go along. Near the day of the review I bring it all together. If it’s a content post (an extract or something) the prep can be very low.

Posts like this one don’t get prepped, I just answer and upload.

What do you think one should do to create a successful blog?

What is a successful blog?

I won’t tag anyone. Just link back to me if you decide to do it. 🙂
